As mentioned, because the IDOT has two dots, it took a few iterations in a well-lit range for our Infantryman to get used to lining up the front and rear dots. But, once he got a feel for it, we turned off the lights, and he was able to pull the weapon from his holster and quickly get rounds down-range, making the metal target sound like a dinner bell.
